Our client, a fast-growing producer of spirit-based beverages is seeking a data analyst. This candidate will work with the executive team, regional management and sales representatives across Canada preparing detailed analysis of sales, inventory data and other reports as required.
The primary focus of this position is collecting, inputting, and analyzing large volumes of data from various provincial sources, finalizing and distributing reports.
This position requires expert level excel skills, data management skills and basic accounting knowledge.
Analysts with previous consumer packaged goods experience or alcohol industry experience are especially sought after for this role.
Responsibilities
- Input / Analyze data from multiple sources to complete standardized weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Utilize territory sales data and geographic mapping to identify opportunities for sales growth.
- Ensure checks and balances across all weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports for sales data and accounting purposes.
- Support business decisions with ad hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications & Skill set
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics.
- 5 years experience in an analytics role, prior experience in the alcohol industry is preferred.
- Expert level skill in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access.
- Experience analyzing large amounts of confidential data.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
