We are now accepting applications for a Behaviour and Family Support Counsellor to work in our Castlegar Office, serving the West Kootenays.

Using an outreach, community-based, family-centered service delivery approach

The Behaviour and Family Support Counsellor will provide various services to families and their children / youth aged 0-18, who are eligible for Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) services through the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD).

Hours / Schedule :

• Full-Time, Temporary Position for a

3-Month Contract

Responsibilities :

The Behaviour and Family Support Counsellor will work with children and youth with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis; developmental disabilities; an FASD diagnosis; with complex developmental behavioural and / or medical conditions or other support needs.

Preferred Education and Experience :

29.75 $31.25 per hour based on experience and education.

Upon successful completion of a trial period, this position is eligible for a full benefit package (including dental plan, vision coverage, life insurance, extended medical coverage, long-term disability plan, and RRSP or TFSA contributions); as well as accrued vacation and sick time at 5.8% - above BC Employment Standards!
