Job Description
Personnel in this position work under the direction of the Area Vice President to provide clinical knowledge and expertise to enhance the sale and support of Olympus products in targeted hospitals.
This will result in OCI offering customers valued service and support while securing appropriate long-range growth opportunities that meet Olympus business objectives and as a point of differentiation from our competition.
The incumbent will also provide EndoSite consulting services to customers and support Professional Education events as required.
Job Duties
- Provide front line clinical support to customer and sales team.
- Work with the Sales team to introduce new products to customers and support product evaluations and provide post sales implementation support as required.
- Conduct site visits in healthcare facilities to provide support and in-services to train customers on the safe and effective use of existing products.
- Provide EndoSite consulting services for customers as required.
- Conduct site visit observation for customers on a service agreement with high volume of repairs to assess and complete Repair Reduction checklist or Endoscope Care and Handling Observation Analysis.
- Work alongside sale reps to attend team meetings / presentations and provide on-going support and training as needed.
- Complete summary report for customer site visits performed
- Assist Sales Consultant with RFP submission relative to clinical information.
- Travel as required in order to service customers in various regions, depending on needs.
- Manage time and travel schedule in a manner that is conducive to the business, cost effective and efficient.
- Promote Olympus Professional Education programs to customers
- Support Olympus Professional Education programs / events as requested
- Support Grants workshops as requested.
- Attend healthcare conference as necessary
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Required :
- Registered Nurse with BSN with current license / registration.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably with experience in a health care sales environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in operating room and / or endoscopy an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, planning and organizational skill required
- Strong report writing and presentation skills required
- Ability to travel as necessary domestic and international up to 40% .
- Driver’s license required.
- Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended for employees who are at risk for exposure to blood or other bodily fluids on the job.
Service responsibilities include the handling of products and equipment that may have potentially come into contact with blood or bodily fluids.
OCI requires that all employees working in areas that may be exposed to these risks either provide proof of the Twinrix (Hepatitis A and B) vaccination or sign a waiver accepting the possible risk of exposure from not being vaccinated.

Preferred
- Able to guide customer through the learning curve of a novel product / procedure for both routine and complex cases and to train others to do the same.
- Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills including excel, MS Word, Power Point
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to support a team effort.
- Ability to work under pressure in an ever changing and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently, multitask and effectively manage priorities.
