Job description

Intermediate Mechanical Designer

A growing custom manufacturer based in the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Region is looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to add to their engineering team. If you have a strong background in mechanical product design and enjoy a fast paced manufacturing environment this could be the next role for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • You have the ability to create detailed complex designs using CAD software applications.
  • You are a strong problem solver with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • You have a good understanding of various manufacturing processes.
  • You enjoy working in a supportive team environment and have the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • You like working for growing companies that require you to support other cross functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience using CAD and Solidworks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Educational background in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be working directly with internal and external customers.
  • Product Development experience within a precision manufacturing environment.
