About the Opportunity

JORI International is looking for a recent CPA grad or someone close to completing the CPA program to support leadership and provide and execute innovative solutions to sometimes complex problems. The Junior Accountant will be a key member of the Finance, Accounting, and Administrative team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape processes and contribute to the company's growth. We are looking for an accounting professional who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment and excel in team leadership, reporting, compliance, and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead parts of the accounting team who work in a remote location.
  • Verify the accuracy, make changes, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Generate and post balance sheet items.
  • Assist in the preparation of various financial reports.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and tax requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and report financial discrepancies.
  • Support other administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as needed.

About You

  • Motivated to learn and apply your book smarts to real-world situations
  • Currently enrolled in the CPA CPAWSB program or is a recent grad.
  • Common sense analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and a strong team player, with a low tolerance for BS.
  • A positive, friendly can-do attitude, with a sense of humour to match.
  • This is a 40 hours per week, in-office position with occasional WFH scheduling.
  • Qualifications :

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounting software, and financial reporting.
  • Evidence of academic excellence is well-regarded and earns you points - it shows you can deal with loads of responsibilities and succeed.
