Summary :
The Powerline Trainee (Trades Trainee) position is an entry-level role that is intended to provide support to the crew and job along with supervised exposure to the Powerline trade. This role provides the Trainee an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and basic job skills to make an informed decision on whether to pursue the trade and enter the Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities :
- Under the direction of a qualified Journeyman or Sub-Foreman, a Trades Trainee may :
Use hand tools
Identify materialsWork as a ground person & material handleDig pole holes, anchors, etc.Perform labour-type work in pole setting and URDOperate bucket and boom trucksClimbInstall and pull on cold constructionFrame poles on the groundAssists in warehouse cleanliness, recycling and waste disposalOperate forklifts, carts, dollies and other equipment as requiredAssist with snow removal and yard access requirementsLoad, unload and move materials around the worksiteMaintain clean and organized work environmentAssist with maintaining a safe work environment and adhere to occupational health and safety regulationsParticipate in health and safety related dutiesOther related duties as requiredRequirements :
