Job descriptionEvaluate supplier risk and deploy monitoring plans, including ramp-up / down phases and new product introductions. Conduct maturity assessments, business continuity audits, and rate readiness / load capacity evaluations. Develop and implement recovery plans and risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers. Data Analysis & Reporting Monitor logistics and quality performance using KPIs; issue monthly scorecards. Utilize Power BI and other tools to analyze supplier data and present actionable insights. Lead initiatives to upgrade supplier maturity and promote best practices. Challenge industrial schemes, lead times, and capacity management to ensure readiness. Cross-Functional Leadership Coordinate and lead multifunctional teams (MFT) as the focal point for supplier activities. Facilitate monthly supplier review meetings to track progress and accountability. Onsite Engagement Travel to supplier sites (approx. 40%) across North America and Europe for audits, assessments, and relationship building.
Must-Have Qualifications :
- Experience :
- Strong background in supplier management, procurement, or manufacturing (not purely quality-focused).
- Aerospace experience highly beneficial; automotive or complex manufacturing acceptable.
- Prior experience managing multiple suppliers and leading cross-functional teams.
- Technical Knowledge :
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and / or special processes (machining, coatings, heat treatment).
- Understanding of supply chain principles, capacity planning, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of ISO / AS quality standards.
- Skills :
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Other Requirements :
- Ability to travel internationally (40%).
- Engineering background is a plus but not mandatory.
