DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The co-op / intern will join Everyday Savings & Investing (ES&I) line of business and will support any of the following business groups :

As a member of the Proactive Monitoring team within Everyday Banking Savings & Investing (ES&I) your primary responsibility will be to support monitoring of various processes and programs to ensure adherence to regulations customer promises desired outcomes and a focus on improving customer experience. You will play a key role in supporting newly launched projects and existing processes to identify gaps on an ongoing basis with the goal intervening before customer escalation or impact. You will review data triggers and use business acumen to accurately identify impacts within existing reporting and work with key stakeholders to inform escalate and refine our monitoring approach. An opportunity to learn data and build new skills as you view ES&I products from an alternate lens and assist in increasing its resilience.

CANADIAN PERSONAL BANKING (CPB) OVERVIEW

Canadian Personal Banking (CPB) provides a comprehensive suite of deposit saving payment and lending products and advice through a network of 1062 branches 3438 automated teller machines (ATM) mobile specialized salesforce and telephone mobile and internet banking services. CPB is comprised of the following line of businesses :

Chief Operating Officer (COO) mandate is focused on building and executing innovative strategies for CPB partners that lead to new and deeper customer relationships new revenue streams improved colleague and customer experience and greater productivity overall. The team is comprised of subject matter experts in diverse disciplines across strategy finance operations risk management regulatory governance business architecture change communications event planning talent management multi-media and more.

Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) & Specialized Sales Force (SSF) help Canadians achieve their homeownership financial goals throughout the entire customer journey with Mortgages and TD Home Equity FlexLines .

Canadian Card Payments Loyalty & Personal Lending (CCPL&PL) is responsible for Credit Card and Personal Lending Banking Products that meet the unsecured borrowing needs of Canadians while enhancing TDs loyalty offerings and partnerships that improve the value propositions for our customers.

Everyday Savings & Investing (ES&I) is responsible for the day-to-day banking products ( Chequing domestic and cross-border banking Overdraft Protection Savings GICs and Mutual Fund products) that meet the everyday banking savings and investing needs of Canadians

Branch Banking Delivery Excellence (BBDE) is responsible for building customer and colleague confidence by supporting approximately 18000 Branch Banking colleagues in TDs more than 1100 branches across Canada.

CPB Operations focuses on enhancing and enriching how TD supports its customers by delivering specialized credit advice underwriting and fulfillment of key processes for Personal Banking.

Digital Transformation & Strategy focuses on driving CPBs digital strategy in partnership with our business leaders journey owners and enterprise stakeholders including Platforms and Technology and Transformation Enablement and Customer Experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Responsibilities

Research investigate and detect potential regulatory operational policy process or customer experience gaps prior to customer escalation.

Participate in the development of new monitoring activities through detailed research and understanding of current bank regulations policies and processes.

Provide consultation for Business Units regarding testing or lessons learned to ensure smooth transition of escalations or prevention from previously identified issues.

Review reporting of monitoring for accuracy based on documented expectations.

Work with Incident Management Issue Management and product owners to effectively escalate problems identified through the testing.

Learn core concepts of SQL and Python data analysis using tools and systems created in the team to support Autotesting .

Create simple and complex queries to support and validate new and existing processes with a focus on identifying undesirable outcomes as quickly as possible.

Analyze and suggest opportunities for continuous improvements within team processes to increase efficacy and simplicity of interactions technology and processes.

Thoroughly document work process details and other supportive details to ensure resiliency and longevity of understanding is sustainable.

Skills / E xperience

SQL and cloud computing concepts

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with peers internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work research and resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues.

Ability to quickly understand acquire and apply new technical skills and apply those understandings to diverse requirements and cross-relational problems and solutions.

An Innovative evidence oriented and critical thinker with an eye to use data to illustrate problems effectively and persuasively.

Flexibility to adapt and manage within a dynamic and high change environment.

Ability to analyze scenarios to reach acceptable compromises between technology impacts and customer service

Asset Skills :

Experience in Python is nice to have.

Experience in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Visio is an asset.

Experience with JIRA and Confluence is nice to have.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Currently enrolled in 3 rd 4 th year of an undergraduate degree OR m asters degree in of Engineering Operations Innovation & Technology Business / Commerce Risk Finance Economics Mathematics Engineering or related field

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate / masters degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
