COMPANY OVERVIEW :

Canpar Express and Loomis Express, both subsidiaries of TFI International, are key players in Canada’s logistics sector. POSITION SUMMARY :

Directs all phases of the Company’s business within the area to ensure that the planned performance objectives, as detailed by the strategic plan, cost controls and revenue targets are met. This is not a corporate or office-based position and is based in warehouse and operation environments with the expectation for the individual to be interactive with employees at all levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Coach, manage, and develop a team of 150-200 employees.
  • Responsibility for the profit and loss of the region.
  • Manage employee / labor relations process through appropriate application of Collective Agreement and manage all Human Resource matters.
  • Monitor and improve EBIT through profitable revenue growth and management of pickup and delivery costs.
  • Provide leadership through appropriate decision-making, communication, and motivation, to get service center management and staff to effectively perform their duties.
  • Ensure staff compliance with established Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Process branch paperwork and prepare required reports & statistics.
  • Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Experience in leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated general accounting, finance & administration experience.
  • Good communication skills- written & verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop people.
  • Min. 3-5 years management experience in a service-related organization.
  • Proven work experience in a union environment.
  • Demonstrated analysis & problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible hours. 25-50% travel required to cover regional requirements.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5 -7 years management experience in a medium to large service company, preferably transportation.
  • University degree or college degree
  • Demonstrated experience implementing quality / process improvement initiatives.
