CommunityReport and CallTriage are community facing products that empower the community member to get the help they need while simultaneously reducing the workload on public safety agencies. This team uses cutting edge technology to solve complex problems via conversation through voice text or chat.

TheCommunityReportandCallTriageteams will give you opportunities to evolve our two leadingAI basedproducts toleveragethe newest and greatest offered by LLMs NLP Conversational Generative and Agentic AI. Experience in AI and / or related experience in chatbots and related tech will be a strong bonus on your resume.

The Role

As aSoftware Engineer II you willberesponsible fordesigning developing andmaintainingsoftware applications working on both backend and frontend systems and contributing to the overall growth and innovation of our public safety product offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while continuously improving your technicalexpertise.

What You ll Do

• Design implement test andmaintainhigh-quality software solutions that align with business needs and project requirements.
• Work closely with product owners designers and other engineers to understand product requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality by writing clean efficient and well-documented code. Perform unit testing integration testing and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects production issues and technical problems.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of software applications ensuring scalability reliability and performance.
• Stay up to date with company standards technologies and best practices and apply them to improve the development process and product functionality.
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineersreviewingcode andofferingconstructive feedback to foster team growth.
• Participate in the teams development process including sprint planning standups and retrospectives. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support teamobjectives departmental needs and overall organizational priorities.

This position requires security clearances due to the nature of our work with public safety agencies. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must successfully obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance from the Government of Canada. Additionally candidates must comply with the FBIs Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and pass a comprehensive fingerprint-based background check.
