Our client, an international engineering firm known for delivering exceptional industrial projects, is seeking an experienced Estimator with nuclear or heavy industrial construction expertise to join their team in Charlotte, NC. As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in developing precise cost estimates for large-scale heavy industrial projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strategic pricing. From concept to completion, you will help shape projects that define industrial innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates for heavy industrial projects, including power plants, refineries, manufacturing facilities, and energy infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to develop and refine project budgets.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to understand the scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and risk assessments for specialized industrial systems (e.g., piping, mechanical equipment).
  • Present estimates to clients and stakeholders, providing insights into costs, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Maintain updated cost databases and historical data to support future estimates.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and advancements in heavy industrial construction.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Estimator, specifically within heavy industrial construction (e.g., refineries, power plants, or manufacturing facilities).
  • Expertise in industrial systems (e.g., piping, mechanical equipment, and complex installations).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with international projects or large-scale industrial facilities is a plus.
