Overview
We are looking for a sales and customer service oriented person with a strong background in heavy equipment, particularly agricultural and farm equipment.
Preference to any one who’s a licensed Mechanic or has experience working with the equipment.
You will be joining a company with a leading presence in Western Canada's growing agriculture equipment business.
As Service Manager, this customer-facing position’s ideal candidate will be a solid leader and build a foundation of accountability and promote quality work and exceptional customer service within the service department.
What you’ll be doing :
- Manage, oversee and delegate effectively to your service team and staff
- Planning, administration and general management and day to day operations and supervision of staff
- Oversee work directed by team leaders and direct reports
- Signing authority of internal work orders
- Ensure bottom line of profitability for Services provided
- Solutions for personnel turnover and staffing needs
- Maintain and ensure health, safety and cleanliness and security of shop and work environment
- Focus on and achieve high customer satisfaction and identify areas of improvement and opportunity
- Mentor and motivate your team and staff and create a positive culture that promotes open communication
Salary of 80-k plus benefits. Relocation assistance will be considered for a qualified candidate.
Requirements
- High level of knowledge and technical proficiency of agriculture materials and equipment
- Previous service manager experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with knowledge of of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency of labour and billing rates, inventory control
- High level of leadership and management skills
- Licensed Mechanic preferred
- Experience with equipment brands such as CASE IH, New Holland, John Deere a strong asset
