Zurich Canada is currently looking for an AVP Reserving Actuary within its Finance Actuarial team.

Reporting to the Chief Actuary, you will manage a team of actuaries to lead reserving studies, perform monthly close, establish partnerships with business leadership on reserving matters, including insights into risks, underlying performance, and implications for the business.

What you bring to the table :

Required :

Bachelor's Degree
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree.
8 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus FCAS or equivalent international certification.
13 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus ACAS or equivalent international certification.

Preferred :

Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management) and knowledge / skills reflective of a senior practitioner.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
