This is a frontline supervisor position that supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture. The Operations Supervisor manages day‑to‑day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handlers (CH) staff within a station, leading and guiding employees in proper package handling, routing, and recovery of potential service failures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all CH functions, including directing work activities and ensuring compliance with FXE policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Mentor, coach, and train employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Monitor administrative processes for adherence to policies and identify opportunities for simplification and quality enhancement.
- Address and resolve conflict, provide timely and clear communication, and listen with empathy.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks in a time‑sensitive manner, taking accountability for departmental performance and swiftly implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
College degree.2 years FedEx sort operations or senior‑level hourly role experience, or 2 years supervisory experience in a related industry.Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.Completion of all basic and recurrency training, including DG certification.Strong mentoring, leadership, and inspirational skills that empower and motivate a team.Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical abilities.Proficiency in conflict resolution and effective communication.Clear, concise, and timely communication skills with empathy.Salary & Shift
Night shift position 00 : 00–07 : 00 am, Monday–Friday. Salary : CA$70,000.00. Posting closes Jan 17 2026.
