Job Description Summary
This full‑time role will be part of the Grid Automation (GA) North America Region (NAM) finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining integrated reports to identify GA NAM region opportunities for duty refund monthly, collaborating with the operations team to process the refund, tracking refund claim status, spotting payments in the bank, and ensuring cash is applied correctly with appropriate financial postings completed. Through integrated reporting and tracking tools the successful candidate will also support analysis of tariff impact for GA NAM and cost recovered through refunds. The role will be based in the GE Vernova office in Markham, Ontario; the candidate is expected to work onsite Monday‑Thursday each week.
Essential Responsibilities
- Obtain USCBP ACE report and broker reports from multiple sources and integrate into one central report on a monthly basis.
- Identify shipments where duty payments were high to target for refund claims under USMCA agreement.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate prioritization of refund claims based on value and due date.
- Track and update claims submitted until refund is received.
- Ensure refund payment is received in the bank, cash is applied, and appropriate P&L posting occurs.
- Support tariff impact assessment and reporting on cost recovered through refunds.
- Support reconciliation and tie out on CTSI freight postings.
- Track and analyze NAM region freight costs, support the development of standardized freight charges for various products.
- Support finance closing activities during monthly and quarterly closing.
Required Qualifications
Proven organizational skills and demonstrated detail orientation.Expertise in MS Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.Experience building integrated reports using PowerBI.Experience with SAP ERP systems.Ability to work with complex datasets and display analysis in an impactful way.Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.Bachelor's degree.Prior work experience in a matrix environment.Legal authorization to work in Canada and awareness that an offer is conditioned upon successful pre‑employment verification.Relocation Assistance Provided : No
