Educational Assistant (Temporary) – Our Lady of Lourdes School, Elliot Lake

LOCATION : Our Lady of Lourdes School, Elliot Lake

EFFECTIVE DATE : Immediately

HOURS OF WORK : 6 hours / day

DUTIES :

• Provide the necessary assistance to students with special needs, including behaviours.
• Provide support to students within a classroom.
• Provide support to students outdoors (yard) as required.
• Assist the classroom teacher in the preparation of materials required for daily programming.
• Assist the classroom teacher in the supervision of pupils.
• Assist in the maintenance of the safety of the pupils.
• Perform lifting and / or toileting and restraint as required.
• May be assigned any other duties within the job description.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Selection will be based on employee’s performance, skills & ability to perform the work as per Article 16.01(b).

Please note, the successful applicant must be available for the duration of this temporary assignment. Requests for leaves may be submitted on a leave request form and will be considered in accordance with Article 24 of the Collective Agreement.
