Role Description

This is a full-time in-house role for a Junior Designer. The Junior Designer will be responsible for supporting design projects, creating innovative designs for protective equipment, providing assistance in design team tasks, and ensuring adherence to the company’s quality standards. Day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with the design team, utilizing design software, marker making conducting product research, and contributing to the design process to enhance product functionality and aesthetics.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and TukaCad CAD software
• Knowledge of design principles, product development, and prototyping processes
• Strong sketching, visualization, and technical drawing skills
• Attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet project deadlines
• Team collaboration and excellent communication skills to translate concepts into practical designs
• Background in industrial design or graphic design is preferred
• Prior experience in designing products in the security, defense, or protective equipment industries is a plus
• Ability to relocate to Kelowna, British Columbia is an essential requirement
