The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Education & Experience Major / minor or diploma in Inclusive Education (aka Special Education) Practicum and / or work experience in Inclusive Education at the level specified in the posting Case management experience required Training and experience with Level B Assessments ( i.e. . KBIT2 / KTEA III) Successfully complete and maintain non-violent crisis intervention certification Successful recent teaching evaluation or practicum report Eligible for BC Teacher Certification Teaching Competencies All teachers are expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas : Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of others in a tactful, compassionate and respectful manner.
