About this opportunity :

Celestica is currently seeking a database developer to support a global data repository that integrates with and supports a wide variety of applications and processes.

The role involves building business processes and data sets, and surfacing that data for various requirements. Key responsibilities include supporting reporting platforms, system-to-system integrations, and end-customer data feeds as well as internal data warehouse systems. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of business users and IT groups.

Activities :

Working with the business to understand project needs and gather requirements

Supporting existing processes and database maintenance outages.

Building and implementing new database processes.

Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include :

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Salary

The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

The hourly wage is determined by the years of study completed and is non-negotiable as per company policy.

Hourly Wage : $22.50-25.50 CAD / hr

Education : Currently enrolled in a formal Internship program completing 3rd year of a 4-year University program or 2nd year of a 3-year College Diploma program. This role is ideal for students who are enrolled in a Engineering or Computer Science program.
