Job description

We have been serving the oil industry since 1996; and we lead the way in service, with a focus on safety and environmental responsibility. We have offices located in Mannville & Nisku, AB - looking after all three of our divisions : Vac & Water, Rentals, and Heavy Equipment.

As a Heavy Equipment Technician you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining Bulldog’s fleet of equipment in our Nisku or Mannville location.

Our Manville location which is approx. 2 hours east of Edmonton & approx. 40 minutes east of Vegreville has the opportunity to provide accommodations with shift work flexibility.

Responsibilities :

  • Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain equipment and perform other routine maintenance work
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance follow all provincial and federal transportation safety regulations and guidelines
  • Follow the safety program, including all policies, procedures and practices
  • Complete work orders upon completion of each job
  • Train operators to maintain vehicles while in the field
  • Provide field service calls when required
  • Ensure the shop is maintained and clean

Qualification and Competencies :

  • 2-3 years industry experience
  • Registered HET Apprentice or Journeyperson in Alberta (or province transferrable) is required
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
