Are you excited about Data? Do you love Analytics? Are you a naturally driven Problem Solver? As the Senior Advisor within the Network Performance and Business Insights team, you will be part of a lively and fast-paced data analytics environment.

The Desjardins Agent Network performance analysts develop and use tools and methods to collect, compile, and model the organization's data.

As a Senior Advisor, you help develop plans and business intelligence; monitor business performance; set targets; identify opportunities to improve service delivery;

design and deliver business strategies and solutions aligned with various initiatives, including the organizational transformation.

You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. These initiatives require extensive knowledge and specialization in data analytics.

You are required to make recommendations on the planning and execution of operational and conceptual deliverables and that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization including all lines of business.

As a Senior Advisor within the Desjardins Agent Network, coordination is critical to frequently interact with stakeholders across the organization.

Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential with strong communication and presentation skills. Acting as a subject matter expert, technical coach, and data validator for the team on a daily basis.

Developing recommendations and delivering presentations to multiple stakeholders frequently. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Lead and contribute to daily operational activities within the team in all aspects from initial stages of planning, developing, executing, and monitoring
  • Develop and update best practices, policies, standards, models, and programs to support our overall strategic projects, initiatives, and goals
  • Identify, analyze, and diagnose major issues, share recommendations for both maintaining success and areas of opportunity.

Evolve our analysis from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive

  • Represent the Network Performance and Business insights team in various meetings, presentations, and events. Showcase and explain our results in a simple and clear format
  • Coach and develop our analysts, validating content and values, challenging the status quo, crafting business insights and the narrative to the results
  • Identify, input, analyze and interpret data to support decision-making
  • Identify and analyze Network information needs and operationalize business intelligence solutions by coordinating with key stakeholders
  • Understand how to produce reports, action plans and ensure information quality
  • Develop programs & tools along with the running tests to take corrective action as needed
  • Realize the importance of suggesting improvements to optimize database quality and efficiency

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Business, etc.)
  • A minimum of seven years relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Proficient with datasets, coding, application, and analysis tools
  • Proficient in SQL and / or SAS, PowerBI. Python and R are complimentary
  • Proficient in business analytics
  • Knowledge of the Insurance and Financial Services industry and familiar with Agent facing sales, servicing tools, and systems
