Electrical Foreman

On behalf of our client, MatchBox Consulting Group  is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Foreman to oversee field crews on water and wastewater treatment plant construction and upgrade projects. The successful candidate will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate with project management, and ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervise and coordinate crews of journeyman and apprentice electricians on industrial job sites.

Plan and schedule daily work to meet project milestones and quality standards.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics.

Oversee conduit installation, cable pulls, MCC and control panel wiring, and process equipment terminations.

Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and other trades to maintain workflow.

Enforce company and WorkSafeBC safety standards and lead daily safety meetings.

Track labour, materials, and production for reporting to project management.

Mentor apprentices and promote a positive, productive team environment.

Qualifications :

Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician (or TQ recognized in BC).

Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Proven background in water and wastewater treatment plant construction or upgrades .

Strong understanding of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and process instrumentation.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and clean driving record.

Current safety certifications (e.g., Fall Protection, WHMIS, CSTS, First Aid) are assets.
