Bank Recovery / Litigation Clerk

Salary : Up to $80K

Key Responsibilities

Manage bank recovery files from intake through to enforcement with minimal supervision
Draft and file pleadings, affidavits, default judgments, motion records, writs of seizure and sale, garnishments, and other enforcement documents
Track and manage court deadlines and limitation periods
Liaise with process servers, courts, clients, and opposing counsel
Monitor responses, coordinate service, and follow up on court filings and procedural steps
Maintain well-organized, up-to-date files in accordance with firm policies
Prepare reports and documentation to support lawyers and client communications

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in bank recovery and litigation within a law firm setting

Proven proficiency in drafting and filing pleadings, default judgments, garnishments, writs, and motion records

Strong understanding of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and Small Claims Court processes

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision

Effective communication and client service skills

Proficiency with legal software and document management systems ACL, Primafact, PC Law, etc.)

Law Clerk diploma or equivalent training preferred
