The Opportunity

As a Regional Sales Manager at Dechra, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our business by overseeing the sales and marketing of our high-quality veterinary pharmaceutical products within your assigned region. Leveraging your expertise in relationship building and market strategy, you will lead and inspire a team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious targets, strengthen customer partnerships, and ensure exceptional service delivery to veterinarians. Your contributions will directly support Dechra’s mission to provide innovative and specialized solutions that improve the health and well-being of animals worldwide.

Grâce à votre expertise en développement des relations et en stratégie de marché, vous dirigerez et motiverez une équipe de professionnels de la vente afin d'atteindre des objectifs ambitieux, de renforcer les partenariats avec les clients et d'assurer un service exceptionnel aux vétérinaires. Vos contributions soutiendront directement la mission de Dechra, qui consiste à fournir des solutions innovantes et spécialisées pour améliorer la santé et le bien-être des animaux à l’échelle mondiale.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of field operations for the Company.
  • Responsible for hiring new sales team members with input from National Sales Manager and General Manager.
  • Responsible for the ongoing training and growth of the Territory Sales Managers.
  • Ensure field Minimum Performance Standards are met on a quarterly basis.
  • Review of financial information of the Company with Territory Sales Managers to ensure alignment with Company goals and objectives.
  • Will work closely with National Sales Manager and Marketing to develop and drive the quarterly Plan of Action.
  • Meet established sales goals and manage expenses to budget.
  • Attend key National, Regional & Provincial veterinary conferences.
  • Other duties as requested.

Responsabilités principales

  • Gérer les opérations quotidiennes sur le terrain pour l’entreprise.
  • Recruter de nouveaux membres de l’équipe de vente en collaboration avec le gestionnaire national des ventes et le directeur général.
  • Assurer la formation continue et le développement des gestionnaires des ventes territoriaux.
  • Veiller à ce que les normes minimales de performance sur le terrain soient respectées chaque trimestre.
  • Examiner les informations financières de l’entreprise avec les gestionnaires des ventes territoriaux afin d'assurer l’alignement avec les objectifs de l’entreprise.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le gestionnaire national des ventes et l’équipe marketing pour élaborer et mettre en œuvre le plan d’action trimestriel.
  • Atteindre les objectifs de vente établis et gérer les dépenses en fonction du budget.
  • Assister aux conférences vétérinaires nationales, régionales et provinciales clés.
  • Assumer toute autre tâche ou projet en fonction des exigences de l’organisation.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Candidate must be bilingual.
  • Animal Health Technician or University Degree preferred
  • Ideally Candidate should be residing in Ontario/Quebec

  • 3-5 years of proven leadership in the management of a sales team within the Animal Health industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong selling skills. Sales experience in the animal health industry is preferred.
  • Experience in developing and executing territory business plans.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the medical, operational and business side of veterinary practice.
  • Strong analytical, technical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Exhibits a high level of passion and self-motivation.
  • Solid understanding of basic computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Willing to travel extensively throughout assigned territory and to regional/national events.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in team management

Candidat idéal

  • Minimum 3 à 5 ans d’expérience avérée en gestion d’une équipe de vente dans l’industrie de la santé animale (préféré).
  • Excellentes compétences en vente. L’expérience en vente dans l’industrie de la santé animale est un atout.
  • Expérience dans l’élaboration et l’exécution de plans d’affaires territoriaux.
  • Connaissance et compréhension des aspects médicaux, opérationnels et commerciaux des cliniques vétérinaires.
  • Solides compétences analytiques, techniques, en communication et en présentation.
  • Fait preuve d’un haut niveau de motivation et de passion.
  • Bonne maîtrise des logiciels de base (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Disponibilité pour voyager fréquemment dans la région assignée ainsi qu’aux événements régionaux et nationaux.
