Moose Knuckles is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the crew and support our growth! Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for the full accounts payable cycle for both Production and Non-Production.
Some of what you'll do:
- Responsible for the full Accounts Payable cycle, for both Production and Non-Production vendors
- Responsible for maintaining strict controls over setup of new vendor accounts and obtaining all relevant information
- Support FP&A team in maintenance of cashflow forecasting model by providing weekly forecast of vendor payments, for monitoring of cash flow needs
- Maintain strict governance over payment process, ensuring Invoice/Purchase Order Approval Matrix and Payment Release Checklist are adhered to without exception
- Maintain updated file of invoices pending payment by vendor with complete supporting documentation, verification of accuracy, and timely follow up with vendors and internal stakeholders for issue resolution
- Monthly reconciliations of account statements for major vendors
- Manage all existing payment methods throughout the Entities; recommend other payment methods
- Communicate effectively with all departments and Management for timely receipt of information
- Key business partner in supporting cross-functional teams with adhoc requests in a timely manner
- Assist with the Month-end close
- Support Year-end preparation of audit file and follow up questions with external auditors
- Support documentation gathering for government audits
- Lead the Accounts Payable team to success through coaching, training and development
Some of what you'll need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working with a retail, wholesale or e-commerce an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in English and French
- Detail orientated with strong organization and analytical skills
- Experience with Momentis and Dynamics 365 is an asset
- Accounts Payable Certification as Accredited Payables Manager a plus
