As Manager, Donor Advising, you will play a pivotal role in raising the funds that make this vision possible. You will lead a team of dedicated fundraising professionals and mobilize Cabinet volunteers, inspiring excellence and fostering a culture of collaboration, gratitude, and impact. Through disciplined portfolio management, strategic donor engagement, and authentic relationship‑building, you will ensure every donor experience is meaningful and every contribution drives progress for RVH and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and mentor Donor Advisors, providing feedback and support to maximize individual and team performanceMobilize Cabinet volunteers for fundraising activities, ensuring engagement and fulfillment in their rolesDrive disciplined portfolio management and donor strategy development for self and teamContribute to the development of fundraising strategies and lead initiatives that are strategically aligned with Foundation business goalsEnsure team‑based fundraising targets are met, and personally close $1–2M+ in major gifts annuallyChampion an approach anchored by discipline, accountability, and creativity in donor engagementUse data and systems to track activity, monitor results, and reinforce accountabilityCollaborate with hospital leaders and Foundation staff to translate priorities into compelling donor opportunitiesOccasionally represent the Foundation externally at events or in the community, as requestedDonor Experience and EngagementPersonally manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, leading cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategiesOversee the design and execution of portfolio strategies across Donor Advisors, ensuring portfolios are balanced, strategically aligned, and consistently advancedEnsure every donor journey reflects discipline and creativity, moving prospects purposefully from identification to solicitation to long‑term stewardshipPartner with hospital staff and leaders to identify compelling donor opportunities and grateful patient prospects, ensuring fundraising initiatives are closely aligned with organizational prioritiesCollaborate with Marketing and Donor Experience teams to co‑create proposals, cultivation and recognition strategies, and impact reports that strengthen donor trust and loyaltyUse data, frontline insights, and donor feedback to refine strategies, improve outcomes, and build lasting philanthropic partnershipsKey Relationships
Reports to the Director, Development, working closely on team alignment, fundraising priorities, and donor engagementDirectly supervises Donor Advisors and mobilizes Cabinet volunteersPartners with Foundation staff, hospital leaders, and volunteers to advance fundraising goalsCultivates relationships with donors, prospects, and community leaders to grow philanthropic investment in RVH and the Keep Life Wild campaignCompetencies & Experience
5 to 7 years of progressive experience in major gift fundraising in a hospital foundation or similarly complex organizationProven ability to build and mentor high‑performing teams, with exceptional skills in coaching, feedback, and emotional intelligenceSuccess in closing major gifts, with a strong grasp of all aspects of the gift cycleExpert in portfolio management, donor strategy, and disciplined use of data and systemsSkilled in volunteer mobilization and engagementHigh emotional intelligence and executive presence with donors and community leadersCommitted to confidentiality, ethical practice, and modeling organizational culture and valuesDemonstrates adaptability and effectiveness in a fast‑paced, values‑driven environment, balancing multiple priorities with professionalismBrings energy, curiosity, and initiative to their work, collaborating across teams to achieve results and drive progressCompliance & Credential Requirements
University degree, college diploma / certificate or equivalent combination of education and experienceCommitment to life‑long learning; CFRE designation encouragedAdheres to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all relevant regulationsMust hold a valid driver’s license and have access to dependable transportationEquity & Inclusion
