Position Summary
The Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager will be responsible for the materials and information flow within the QPCA group. The Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager will have full accountability for production planning, order allocation, tactical sourcing, and logistics / fulfillment and lead the QPCA supply chain team to support the operations team.
Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- The Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Establish and manage production planning to accurately schedule plant production orders, maximizing output efficiency, meeting stocking objectives and controlling plant changeover costs.
- Develop strategy and assign resources to optimize material and information flow across the Fiber manufacturing locations.
- Lead tactical procurement and inventory control to maintain production quantities of raw material, direct material supplies, and consumables according to production schedule.
- Lead outbound customer fulfillment achieving customer on-time performance and providing clear and accurate information to outbound logistics.
- The Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Negotiates prices in collaboration with corporate purchasing for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and / or shipping companies.
- Hires and trains departmental supervisors.
- Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Lead inventory control and accuracy of supplies.
- Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager Job Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related supply chain disciplinesAPICS certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) preferredExperience working with production planning, material procurement, and customer fulfillment operationsExperience leading teams within a supply chain functionAbility to collect, analyze, and manage with dataWorking knowledge of inventory management, supplier management, and logistics best practicesTeam building and influencing skills within and outside of functional teamMS Office suite and ERP / MRP softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise reports that are understandable by the target audienceAbility to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriateAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environmentTime management skillsLanguage Skills :
