Director of Finance and Asset Management
The Director of Finance and Asset Management is accountable for overall divisional leadership ensuring delivery of effective and cost-efficient finance, facilities management, health and safety, and procurement supports and services. The Director is a contributing member of the senior leadership team which sets overall strategic direction and provides leadership across the Agency. The Director leads in alignment with Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values and Leadership Model.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field (required)CPA Designation (Chartered Professional Accountant) requiredMaster’s degree (e.g., MBA or MPA) requiredMinimum of 10 years of progressively senior financial management experience with a minimum of 5 years in a relevant sectorCertification relevant to facilities management and health and safety is an assetKnowledge and experience in applying Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) are an assetKnowledge and experience of the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act (BPSAA) and its directives are an assetProficiency in NetSuite and experience with Avanti / UKG an assetExpertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a public accountability contextStrong grasp of grant compliance, contribution agreements, and fund accountingProven experience in financial leadership roles, including strategic financial planning and long-term sustainabilityKnowledge and experience in holding agency-wide and provincial perspectivesExperience in both public and private sectors is an assetExperience working with government agencies, funding partners, or in unionized environmentsExperience contributing to and interpreting organizational strategy, especially in aligning financial planning with mission goals across multiple sites / large geographic areasExperience supporting board governance, including preparing financials for board meetings and participating in audit and finance committeesFamiliarity with risk management frameworks and internal control systemsAbility to lead finance teams and collaborate with executive leadership and board members on strategic and operational planning / implementation, strategic key performance measurement practices and organizational risk assessment practicesAbility to communicate financial matters to non-financial stakeholders, including boards, funders, and the publicAdvanced competence with Microsoft Excel and data analysis toolsCommitment to transparency, ethics, and stewardship of public and donor fundsExperience in mission-driven environments, ideally with knowledge of social impact metricsStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsBackground in managing complex funding models, including government grants, donations, and program revenuesDemonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families / caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourselfDemonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situationsSuccessful applicants will be required to provide :Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
