Job Description

The Senior Environmental Advisor plays a critical leadership role in advancing environmental compliance and performance across the Recycling and Kenny U-Pull divisions. Reporting to the Director of Environment and supported by the Environmental Advisor, this role serves as the subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, ensuring that environmental requirements are integrated, understood, and consistently applied across all operational levels.

This position requires occasional travel to sites in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick.

What you’re responsible for :

• Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance by ensuring seamless integration of permits across sites, supporting internal teams, field operations, and contractors, while streamlining renewal timelines to maintain consistent regulatory compliance.
• Under the direction of the Director, lead all permitting activities, including applications, renewals, amendments, and non-compliance resolution, ensuring alignment across multiple sites.
• Oversee the management, accuracy, and control of environmental records, permits, and related documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.

Monitor and manage compliance with environmental regulations (, air, water, waste, hazardous materials), including reviewing inspections, risk analysis, and corrective / preventive actions, while coordinating key environmental reporting such as compliance tracking, cost performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead environmental projects, including site assessments, remediation, air emissions sampling, and risk studies.
