Job description

Reporting to the Boutique / Coffee shop supervisor responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

  • Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service.
  • Be active in the boutique providing recommendation to guests
  • Handles end to end customers orders;
  • Sells and prepares coffee drinks and beverages by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee and / or drinks such as expresso cappuccino latte brewed tea cold brews etc.;
  • Answer customers questions presents and explains the various beverage offerings;
  • Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies baked goods and boutique items;
  • Keeps equipment operating by following instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to the health and safety guidelines;
  • Improves quality results by studying evaluating and / or proposing redesigned processes and implementing changes;
  • Maintaining and improving the appearance of the boutique and coffee bar;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee retail trade and food service publications;
  • Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments;
  • Experienced and comfortable working under pressure during busy shifts.
  • Strong verbal communications and relationship building skills.
  • Friendly outgoing and dedicated to outstanding customer experience.
  • Tidy selfdisciplined and detailedoriented.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Follow all sustainability standards and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
  • French will be an asset.
  • Must possess a professional presentation.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Retail and Food and beverage experience will be considered an asset.
  • High school diploma / equivalent required.
  • Additional Information :

    Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) :

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramp
