We require a PLANT MANAGER for our Brantford, Ontario location.
The Plant Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing plant, ensuring production efficiency, safety, and product quality while meeting the company's operational goals. You will lead a team of supervisors and operators, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with other departments to optimize performance and drive growth.
Successful candidates require experience managing a team in a complex 24 / 7 facility, and have a track record of effective team building, KPI management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities :
- Drive positive change in all aspects of plant operations using continuous improvement tools and methodologies, teamwork and shop floor metrics, to drive quality, cost, delivery and housekeeping.
- Lead and manage a team of managers, supervisors, operators to meet production targets and improve employee performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Monitor and manage plant performance metrics, including production schedules, product quality, and equipment downtime.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, including production efficiency, waste, quality, and safety.
- Participating in labour relations.
- Support company policies consistent with organization objectives and apply such policies to the plant’s manufacturing operations.
- Drive and enforce a safety culture.
- Oversee the plant security and protection.
- Lead site leadership team in capital planning including major and minor CAPEX projects and asset planning to minimize the risk of failure and the number of breakdowns
IDEAL :
Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry or automotive industries are preferred.Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field with equivalent experience.Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with at least 3 years in plant management or operations management.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.Proficiency in CMMS, Excel, Power Point, MS Word.The ideal candidate will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees.
