RESPONSIBLE TO : Laboratory Supervisor

MAJOR FUNCTION : Draw patient blood

GENERAL LABORATORY DUTIES :

Accession and accept patients for Phlebotomy and testing

Patient Documentation for lab testing

Draw and label patient blood for required testing using appropriate tubes

Able to work independently and maintain lab protocols as instructed

Analyze patient samples on auto-analyzer in accurate and timely manner

Interpret and report patient result to physicians and nursing dept

Maintaining strict rules on labeling and requisition and billing

Able to send out blood for tests not performed on site

Treat patient with respect and dignity
