What You'll Do

This role provides proactive, actionable analytics to our FGL Distribution Centre through reporting, KPI development, analysis, tool development, capacity planning, slotting analysis and process improvement initiatives for key operational stakeholders.

The Business Analyst student will work on projects with key operational stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve the overall Supply Chain.

  • Support the development of key performance indicators and the optimal design of performance reporting formats and channels
  • Manage data and data mining as well as translating financial data. Provide analytical support through data collection and analysis to support business decision making.

Use expertise in project management, financial modeling, analytics and insights identification to support strategy

  • Support the development of annual budgeting requirements by providing analytical support and coordinating efforts, and provide analytical insights into processes improvement opportunities that will assist in the development of annual plans and strategic outlooks
  • Become knowledgeable and gain experience with FGL and our DC's business processes and systems in order to provide support and carry out initiatives
  • Improve and develop reporting to provide visibility and identify opportunities to improve to transportation and DC processes
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of supply chain processes and performance and determine requirements as well as design and build analytical tools to support new and existing processes

What You Bring

  • Advanced level user for MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access
  • Previous experience in Analytical or Research roles with an emphasis on analytics and performance management
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting systems and tools such as Oracle Hyperion Financial management (HFM) and Cognos an asset
  • Undertaking a post-secondary degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in supply chain an asset

This is a hybrid role based out of our FGL Distribution Center in Brampton, Ontario. Candidates are advised that they will be required to work onsite a minimum of two days a week.
