Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time NDT Turnaround Coordinator for our client in Fort McMurray, AB.

As an NDT Turnaround Coordinator , you will play a critical role in supporting operations, including upgrading, extraction, and tailings projects. This position involves planning and executing outages, turnarounds, and coordinating with teams to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.

  • Responsibilities :

  • Plan and execute Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) tasks in alignment with Oil Sands operations.
  • Collaborate with execution, planning, and engineering teams to coordinate turnarounds and outages.
  • Attend project execution meetings to determine priority work fronts and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Perform workplace observations and field inspections to ensure safety and operational standards.
  • Communicate with execution leads to address evolving priorities during projects.
  • Identify and report issues to QA teams and engineering departments .
  • Oversee contractor workforce, including ramp-up and ramp-down scheduling .
  • Coordinate logistics and infrastructure needs , including radio distribution, cell phone allocation, vehicle access, and fuel card management.
  • Utilize SAP software for step closures and real-time project updates.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Must be eligible to reside and work within Canada.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a certified NDT Technician in Oil Sands operations .
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel , and other relevant software.
  • Prior experience at Suncor Baseplant or similar Oil Sands projects is an asset.
  • Strong technical and communication skills , with the ability to lead meetings and discussions.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced work environment with multiple vendors and contractors.
  • A commitment to safety protocols and cost-saving strategies aligned with Suncor's vision.
