Make an impact within MNP’s Enterprise Transformation practice as a Manager . This diverse team of problem solvers understands clients’ unique needs – embraces the possibilities and opportunities that are created by bringing together changes in business strategy, operating models, process improvements, transformation architecture and technology. As a trusted advisor in transformation consulting, you’ll enable clients undergoing large-scale change in their organization to anticipate, innovate and adapt to fast changing internal and external priorities, customer / employee experiences and operational enhancements. The types of transformation strategies that you will develop and execute will bring together meaningful results, create value, optimize performance, reduce costs, enhance growth and mitigate potential risks for organizations.

Our practice works with clients to lead large-scale enterprise transformations, including :

  • Business strategy development and operational enhancements
  • Holistic operating model / service delivery model design and execution
  • Enterprise and technology architecture development and integration
  • Multi-phased transformation roadmap development and execution
  • Governance and program management of complex transformation portfolios

As a Manager in our practice, you are seen as a valued advisor for clients undergoing complex transformations. We work with clients across multiple industries in Canada – including Government / Public Sector, Insurance / Workers Compensation, Banking, Retail, Manufacturing, Health Care. Our diverse team also provides subject matter expertise across multiple capability areas – including Operations, Finance, HR, Customer Experience, Change & Communications, Procurement, Mergers & Acquisitions.

The selected candidate would ideally be based in Calgary, however we are open to experienced professionals based in Toronto, with some travel involved.

Responsibilities

Client Project Delivery

  • Build and manage complex projects and undertake leadership of engagement teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and within the client specifications to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction
  • Lead day-to-day project delivery – including build-out of client appropriate, high-quality deliverables, design / lead client workshops, deliver presentations, engage with key project sponsors / stakeholders
  • Provide oversight of engagement team members – review deliverables, provide / iterative on feedback to continuously enhance delivery quality throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status (incl. presentations to key client stakeholders and / or project steering committees). Seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
  • Manage project financials (e.g., use of resources, budgets, WIP, billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Active Leadership

  • Oversee engagement team members to ensure project activities align with workplan and are on-track to deliver the expected project outcomes
  • Provide engagement oversight by providing overall QA – review deliverables for accuracy, completeness and insights quality prior to sharing with clients
  • Be a leader as part of the enterprise transformation team – provide support to junior team members (e.g., consultants, senior consultants) in ongoing mentorship, coaching and constructive feedback
  • Solution Development

  • Translate client needs / challenges into well thought-out strategies, roadmaps and support implementation activities (where required)
  • Adapt methodologies to right-size solution options based on client needs
  • Collaborate with other services lines in MNP throughout the project lifecycle to deliver innovative solutions
  • Research / develop frameworks and collaterals independently or in collaboration with other MNP subject matter experts to continuously enhance MNP’s toolkit and resources
  • Business Development

  • Promote Enterprise Transformation services through presentation delivery in industry conferences, publishing articles / POV’s, facilitating knowledge-sharing workshops, participating in community activities, leading / developing service proposals for clients
  • Further Enterprise Transformation relationships within MNP by working with other MNP service lines (i.e., Consulting, Digital and Enterprise Risk) as a key orchestrator in large scale transformation initiatives
  • Identify transformation opportunities – lead and fulfill the full consulting sales cycle to generate new business opportunities and / or further existing business relationships with clients
  • Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy or a relevant field
  • A post graduate degree or relevant professional designation (MBA or MSC are preferred)
  • Professional experience in providing growth strategy; business / corporate and / or technology strategy, value creation, the strategic planning process; operating model design; strategic investment analysis; and enterprise cost reduction
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in industry or with a professional services firm with a successful record in the strategy and transformation space
  • Experience in project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
  • Experience in business and practice development
  • Experience in proposal development
  • Demonstrated consistency in delivery quality services in a client organization (preferable a prior strategy and transformation arm of a consulting firm)
  • Demonstrated technical expertise within a specific sector (e.g., Banking, Insurance, Public Sector, Health Care) and / or capability area (e.g., Customer Experience, Operations, HR, Finance, M&A)
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Structured problem-solving, critical-thinking and ability to navigate through ambiguity / uncertain scenarios
  • A developed network within the business and IT community is considered a strong asset
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
  • Some travel may be required
