Position Summary
The Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting business units in leveraging information technology to take business improvement and modernization opportunities from inception through to realization. This job is responsible for supporting business units in realizing the value of their technology investments and building trusting relationships to help navigate the continuous change.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Interprets, analyzes and documents functional specifications, business and system requirements based on industry practices in order to comprehend the current state and future state of the business and provide a gap analysis.
Provides support and maintenance for existing applications through our issue tracking and project management systems to ensure systems are secure, functional, and modernized.
Plan, monitor and control small to medium sized projects using current project management methodologies. To ensure effective solution delivery and appropriate resource management.
Advise business stakeholders on effective change management using industry practices to promote positive change within the corporation.
Design, implement, document and maintain data and systems integration strategies using our content management solutions to ensure efficient support, augmentation and maintenance of these integrations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Competencies
3 - 5 years of recent and relevant experience in a systems development environment, including experience as a project lead.
Must demonstrate Corporate Competencies : Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity, and Teamwork.
Skills, Abilities, Work Demands
Must be able to multi-task with focus.
Proficient skills in MS Office, relational databases (Oracle, MS-SQL) and modern programming languages / tools
Knowledgeable in current information technology (Web based technology, Cloud Computing Technology)
Knowledgeable in Business Intelligence reporting
Must have excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Knowledgeable in Change Management
Strong, effective customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment, liaise with key stakeholders and to function effectively with minimal supervision
