Join the Workday AI organization where youll be building and supporting powerful AI capabilities that power Workdays product suite. Youll be working with a multi-functional team that ships frequently iterates rapidly and is supporting millions of users of Workdays products.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in software engineering

• 8 years experience with a web development framework (Flask Django FastAPI NestJS Sprint Boot Ruby on Rails etc.)

• 8 years with PostgreSQL DB and SQL

Other Qualifications

• Experience building and operating SaaS products in major cloud environments (AWS preferred)

• Deep understanding of the tradeoffs and architecture of modern highly-available distributed systems

• Exceptional influence and communication skills to translate architecture to business value for all stakeholders.

• Expert knowledge of software development best practices (DevOps CI/CD automated testing observability)

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch

• Exposure to additional programming languages like Java (backend) and TypeScript (frontend/fullstack) is a plus

• Proven success working within fast-paced agile environments and cross-functional teams

• Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear thoughtful solutions

• Committed to fostering an inclusive team-oriented environment and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus as well as annual refresh stock grants.
