Position Summary
Clinical Coordinator, Paediatric Program :
The Clinical Coordinator role is a leadership position within the Maternal Newborn and Paediatric Program, specifically working within Paediatric and NICU areas.
The primary focus for this role will be on the patient flow of paediatric and NICU patients by facilitating transfers and coordinating staffing
Embracing models of operational and clinical excellence, patient and family driven care, you will work in partnership with the Program leadership teams, other teams across the hospital and external partners (including the Ontario Health, LHIN, Safer Healthcare Now and other healthcare facilities). You will provide leadership in rapidly changing patient situations and is an autonomous professional who works independently and interdependently supporting the health care team. You also have well-developed interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, are able to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team, are able to effectively prioritize and multi-task. You have excellent verbal and written communication, teaching skills and project management skills.
This position supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and / or transforming care through research and innovation.
This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
