Position Overview

Clear is currently looking to add Environmental Technician(s) to our Technical Services team, working from our head office in Calgary, Alberta and reporting of the Technical Services Manager. This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance pertaining to Drilling Waste, Water Resource, and Land Management in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
  • Support Clear’s Operations team by providing waste management programs.
  • Communicate with provincial regulators and company clientele, as required.
  • Review and compilation of field data.
  • Environmental report preparation according to applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all corporate policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to.

Qualification Requirements

  • Experience with Alberta AER Directive 50, British Columbia OGC Drilling Waste Chapter 10, and Saskatchewan GL99-01 is required.
  • Familiarity with additional provincial environmental guidelines / directives pertaining to oil and gas operations is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Environmental Science, Geography, Biology, Ecology, or a similar science discipline is considered an asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Ability to organize and manage workload both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
