About the Job

Project Managers works closely with our Systems Integrators and Systems Engineers within our professional services organization to deliver business value to our end users, channel partners, and OTTO Motors. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating project deliverables and serving as the point of contact between customers and other departments. Your goal is to manage the efforts of team members to ensure our projects are delivered on time and ensuring our customers’ needs are met. In addition, PMs collaborate with others within our professional services organization to establish guidelines, standards, and best practices for how OTTO Motors products can be used by the market, specifically by our integrator network. Your primary responsibilities will be :

  • Project Planning : define project scope, goals and deliverables, and create and manage project timelines / schedule as well as cost to ensure time completion of project; develop detailed work plans, project estimates, and resource plans
  • Project Reporting : provide periodic updates including project status reports, financial reports (EACs, budget reconciliation), and regular KPIs
  • Budget and Resource Management : develop and manage project budgets, allocate and optimize resources, while controlling project expenditures
  • Communication : Conduct project meetings and take responsibility for project tracking and analysis; communicate vital information to the rest the project team as well as broader product teams
  • Stakeholder Management : Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels; manage customer relationships and expectations
  • Risk and Opportunity Management : identify and assess R&Os, develop risk and capture plans
  • Continuous improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices and lessons learned
  • Problem Solving and Effective Communication : Analyze project issues and develop solutions, anticipate potential problems and proactively address them, communicate project objectives and status, while resolving conflict and issues through open communication
  • Act as the point person for changes, updates, questions, and issues

You have exceptional project management experience from previous work placements. Bonus points for managing engineering related projects. Required Experience / Skills :

  • Bachelors’ degree in an Engineering discipline. Additional education in business administration, operations, or project management an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in a dynamic environment with multi-disciplined technical team members
  • Experience of working within the automotive industry (either directly for OEMs or for a supplier)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, while still paying attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic and self-starter attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Bonus Points For :

  • Mechanical / Mechatronics background
  • PMP or working towards PMP designation
  • 3+ years of engineering design experience
