Your Role at Baxter

The Clinical Outcomes Specialist (COS) role supports both our hospital customers as well as our sales team. This role provides both clinical and product education with a focus on helping our customers improve patient care, outcomes, and clinical workflow.

This position requires flexibility, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and to collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.

This role requires weekly travel to hospitals located in the territory four days a week including overnight travel of 15 to 25% per quarter depending on projects and the COS’s home base.

Some evening in-services and participation in weekend conferences could also be required in the territory.

You will report to the Regional Sales Director, Central Canada.

This is a 18-month contract opportunity. The territory will be covering the Greater Toronto Area. The assigned territory may change if and as the need arises to best support our customers and the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide product education through planned evaluations and implementations including both on-site at the hospital as well as virtual.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of annual clinical studies with customers including collecting and analyzing the data captured, prepare, develop, and lead a PowerPoint presentation that summarizes the findings and results.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director, Account Managers, Specialists and other team members to develop and complete account plans and collaborate with clinical customers on how to best integrate the use of our products into clinical protocols to reduce adverse patient events.
  • Travel as required (up to 75% of the time).

What you'll bring

  • Registered nursing designation, degree, diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of nursing experience at an acute care hospital (ICU, Medical / Surgical Floors).
  • Experience working in professional practice, clinical informatics or as a clinical educator is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, organization, communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Solid understanding of MS Office.
  • Previous medical device experience preferred.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
