Finance Manager

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager for a 6-month project with potential to be hired full-time.

About the Opportunity

1. Forensic Risk Assessment & "Line in the Sand" (First 14 Days)

• FY26 Opening Balance Audit :  Perform a comprehensive risk assessment of the inherited Trial Balance. Identify potential "sloppy accounting" or technical debt in opening balances to be flagged to the Board immediately.

Recap Entry Validation :  Audit the execution of the recapitalization entries to ensure the FY26 starting position is technically sound and compliant with PE sponsor requirements.

Liability Isolation :  Proactively identify and document any accounting irregularities or process gaps from previous cycles to ensure the new CFO has a clear "Day 1" baseline. 2. Operational Reset & Month-End Excellence

The "Clean Close" :  Re-engineer the month-end process from the ground up. Move from "reactive" to "systematic" by ensuring every account has a high-quality working paper and contemporaneous support.

Working Paper Governance :  Implement a standard, audit-ready format for all reconciliations. Ensure all team members (including contractors) are held to a "zero-defect" standard.

Team Management :  Direct the daily activities of the accounting team and two specialized contractors, focusing specifically on clearing the reconciliation backlog and fixing historical data entry errors. 3. Strategic Rationalization & Integration

Entity & Bank Rationalization :  Partner with external tax advisory firms to execute the consolidation of legal entities and the closure of redundant bank accounts.

Process Automation :  Work with the Systems Manager to replace manual "Excel patches" with automated workflows in Sage Intacct and Airbase.

Transition Leadership :  Document all new "Standard Operating Procedures" to ensure the permanent VP of Financial Operations inherits a stabilized, professionalized department.

About You

CPA designated with BIG 4 firm experience

10+ years of experience with excellent full-cycle accounting experience

PE environment experience -"Interim Fixer", you know what "sloppy" looks like and how to find it fast

Ability to uncover issues and / or hidden liability in the General Ledger

Sage Intacct & FloQast Mastery : You are a "hands-on" technical expert who can fix Sage configurations yourself

Managerial experience - mix of permanent staff and contractors to deliver high-quality output on an aggressive timeline

Pay Rate : $70.00 / Hour
