Demolition Worker

Duties

• Safely demolish buildings and structures using hand tools power tools and heavy equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and construction plans to execute demolition tasks accurately
• Remove debris and hazardous materials from job sites in compliance with safety standards
• Assist with site preparation for new construction or renovation projects
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators bulldozers or cranes as required
• Perform tasks related to concrete forming masonry framing roofing and other construction activities as needed
• Use specialized skills such as plumbing electrical work plastering carpentry (including trim carpentry and door hanging) stucco application caulking tile laying flooring installation welding and restoration work when applicable
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Experience

• Prior experience in demolition or general construction site work is highly preferred
• Familiarity with bluebeam software for project documentation is a plus
• Knowledge of construction management practices and estimating processes is advantageous
• Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation is beneficial
• Skills in operating heavy equipment safely and effectively are required
• Experience with various construction trades such as masonry carpentry (frame carpentry) roofing glass installation cabinet installation restoration hardscape work drywall finishing (plastering) concrete finishing tile laying welding flooring installation or similar fields will be considered an asset
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments while adhering to safety standards is essential
