Position Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at our Ville St-Laurent. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services, and managing supplier relationships to support our production operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers.
- Ensure the continuous supply of required materials and services while mitigating risk of supply chain disruptions.
- Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to secure the best value.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering, quality assurance) to understand material requirements and ensure alignment of procurement activities.
- Oversee inventory management and optimize stock levels to balance cost and availability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industries.Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Proficiency in both English and French is highly desirable.What We Offer :
