Position Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at our Ville St-Laurent. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services, and managing supplier relationships to support our production operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers.
- Ensure the continuous supply of required materials and services while mitigating risk of supply chain disruptions.
- Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to secure the best value.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering, quality assurance) to understand material requirements and ensure alignment of procurement activities.
- Oversee inventory management and optimize stock levels to balance cost and availability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industries.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Proficiency in both English and French is highly desirable.
