Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Brampton, Ontario on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance while maintaining strong relationships with customers. Responsibilities :

• Follow up proactively on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Allocate incoming payments accurately and efficiently while adhering to company procedures.
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
• Monitor customer accounts for irregularities, non-payments, and delays, and initiate appropriate actions.
• Organize and update customer files to ensure all records are accurate and easily accessible.
• Prepare and process bank deposits and receipts in line with established protocols.
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving issues with care and efficiency.
• Review accounts receivable aging reports regularly and take necessary steps to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to recover outstanding balances.
• Assist with month-end processes and provide support during audits to ensure smooth operations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related roles.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and cash collections.
• Solid understanding of billing processes and commercial collections.
• Experience working with financial software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer interactions effectively.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
