We are looking for an operational Health Physicist to join the Pickering Refurbishment Project. This would be an excellent role for an experienced operational Health Physicist with CANDU reactor refurbishment experience looking to use their knowledge on new projects.
What You'll Do Here
Aid in preparing work plans to support station refurbishment activitiesDevelop and deliver radiation protection training associated with refurbishmentPerform ALARA planning to support CANDU large scale core component removal and replacementAiding in radiological emissions assessmentsReview design descriptions, details and recommend worker dose reduction strategiesFor worker radiation exposure and dose budgeting purposes develop individual radiation dose projections, 5-year dose projectionsSupport client RP program, RP driven assessments and initiativesIntegrate with both client and various organization disciplines for client RP program alignment and complianceWhat You Bring To The Team
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an operational health physicist working in CANDU power plants or equivalent nuclear industryExperience in CANDU reactor refurbishment.Undergraduate degree in Health Physics or equivalent qualificationsExperience in dealing with a large organization to address broad scope radiation safety needsExperience in applying high radiation safety standards expected in the nuclear power plantsEffective communication of the radiation safety compliance requirements to the organizationAbility to effectively address worker radiation safety concerns by explaining program application requirements and safety principles
