    About the Opportunity

    Dynamic Constructors is currently looking to employ a learning oriented  Construction Site Supervisor  to join our team in  Kelowna, BC  on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be working on-site 90% of the time, and in the office (or at home) the remainder of the time. Work hours will be 7 : 30am-3 : 30pm Monday to Friday. We also provide extended Christmas holiday vacation.

    As our new Construction Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects and supervising our subcontractor teams. Your primary tasks will include ordering supplies, scheduling contractors, as well as enforcing and improving the project budget.

    More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

    • Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
    • Supervising and instructing the contractor team.
    • Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
    • Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
    • Maintaining an accurate record of contractor attendance.
    • Evaluating the quality and schedule performance of contractors.
    • Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
    • Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to improve time and cost efficiency.
    • Learning and adapting to new and innovative construction technology to help meet our project and sustainability goals.
    • Overseeing site safety and performing first aid in emergencies.
    • Using BuilderTrend software for schedule and quality updates daily.
    • Communicating constantly with our project managers.

      In order to qualify for this role, you will need a  Diploma  in construction management, construction science, civil engineering or a related field,  OR a ticketed carpentry program . In addition, you will need a minimum of  5 years experience working as a site supervisor , preferably on low rise residential construction. An equivalent combination of education, skills and experience will also be considered.

      Technical Knowledge & Skills :

    • Strong understanding of BC Building Code , residential construction practices, and construction safety regulations.
    • Ability to interpret building plans and blueprints accurately.
    • Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment , with some hands-on work required (e.g., back-framing).
    • Certifications & Compliance :

    • First Aid certification (can be obtained upon hiring).
    • Leadership & Problem-Solving :

    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address construction challenges.
    • Organizational & Communication Skills :

    • Excellent organizational abilities to ensure efficient site operations.
    • Clear and professional communication skills , both verbal and written.
    • Technology Proficiency :

    • Comfortable using cameras , Gantt charts , and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) .
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel for project tracking and reporting.
    • Work Ethic & Initiative :

    • High sense of urgency in managing worksite tasks and schedules.
    • Strong ownership over the organization and efficiency of construction sites.
