REAL ESTATE / WILLS & ESTATE LAWYER

East Toronto location.

Our client is expanding their practice and are looking to hire an experienced lawyer to handle real estate and wills & estate requirements. As a key member of the team, you will be working closely with the principal lawyer, meeting with clients, launching files, drafting legal documents, researching real estate issues and providing timely and professional counsel to a broad client base. This is a thriving, smaller practice and attitude is everything. You are expected to jump in and help when possible as this thriving practice continues to grow.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified lawyer (qualified by the Law Society of Upper Canada) who has a minimum of 3 years of practicing experience specialized in either real estate or wills & estate law within Ontario.

You have a passion for Real Estate and Wills / Estate law. You are a highly motivated and accomplished lawyer who excels in building strong client relationships. You are equally passionate about delivering high quality legal expertise and are motivated by the opportunity of assisting an established practice while building your own client base through hard work and referrals.

This position is onsite 5 days per week and located in the Upper Beaches area. Diversity friendly is a must and having a lawyer who has a strong presence in diverse communities is of great interest.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Consultations with potential clients.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of real estate and wills & estate cases
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft relevant legal documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive office environment
  • Proactively build referral network and new business to further expand the practice
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate and wills & estate legislation and case law.
  • Foster strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.

Qualifications :

  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing real estate and / or wills & estate law in Ontario.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
