Collaborate and coordinate with Assembly teams to maximize quality, efficiency, and throughput.Follow all engineering instructions as they apply to builds, processes, and experimental work.Staff manual assembly or line positions as scheduled.Inspect and monitor product quality and line performance according to documented procedures.Manually inspect and process rejects from automated vision systems, determining pass / fail based on established process guidelines.Elevate quality, productivity, or performance issues to minimize defects, reduce scrap, and improve throughput.Operate and monitor wafer fabrication processing equipment.Work with various chemicals in a cleanroom environment while adhering to all safety and handling procedures.Set up equipment according to cleanroom, quality, and manufacturing requirements.Follow all processes and procedures with minimal supervision.Maintain accurate, timely, and legible records in compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements.Demonstrate proper gowning and cleanroom techniques; maintain a tidy, organized, and compliant workspace.Communicate ideas and suggestions to Assembly and Manufacturing leadership to support continuous improvement.Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.Qualifications & Skills
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.Successful completion of High School education (WES evaluation required if education was obtained outside of Canada).Ability to pass a criminal background check.Demonstrated desire, initiative, and motivation to excel.Strong mechanical aptitude and solid organizational skills.Excellent manual dexterity with strong attention to detail and quality.Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Flexibility to work in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment, including willingness to work 12-hour shifts.Understanding and compliance with all EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines.Ability to understand and follow manufacturing procedures, cleanroom guidelines, and quality standards.Previous experience in assembly and wafer fabrication or photo laboratory environments considered an asset.Apply now to this Assembly Operator job in Ottawa, ON for immediate employment consideration.
