Job Overview :
- Our Telecommunications client is looking to build a Testing Team to help them with their CRM Transformation Program which will be the gradual transition from the current CRM and its applications to Salesforce on all their lines of business.
- Salesforce will then be used for all wireless and wireline interactions, including self-serve capabilities, and will be completed in a phased approach.
- This initiative will enable Business and Consumer customers to manage their purchases of wireline and wireless products across all customer channels.
- Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Defect Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance team.
- In this role, the Defect Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the defect management process, ensuring that defects are reported, tracked, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.
- The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and experience working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that high-quality software products are delivered.
Job Responsibilities :
Analyze requirements, rules, and specifications for test components and develop into strategies, plans, and cases in the delivery stage of SDLCLeads defect triaging, impact assessment,t and timely closure of defects across various sub-projects; maintains consolidated Defect Log and Traceability MatrixLeads Impact Analysis; coordinates with other Test Leads to get a common understanding of defects and leads to defect triaging for timely closure of defectsClassifies defects based on priority, severity, and impacted areas; works with respective project managers and project teams for timely closure of defectsDefect Coordinator provides Defect status reporting and compiles various defect metricsCollaborates with Test Team for scheduling and retesting of defects; ensures status of all defects across sub-systems, sub-projects, and test cycles are updated in OpenText ALM Quality Center.Escalates unresolved or unexpected delays of defect fixes to the Test Lead / Test Manager or PM as required.Managing the SLA for defect fixes - reminders to keep defects on trackTracks all defects and reports defect status and metrics on a daily basisFollows up with all required stakeholders on actions required on the defectsIdentifies and escalates defect risksTesting software on the application when requiredUse processes and templatesUtilize appropriate testing toolsSelf-motivated individual with expertise in small to medium projects who can take on the Test Lead role with confidence and little guidance other than the logistical areas.Experience in scriptingRequired Skills and Experience :
Minimum four (4) years of experience in Software TestingMinimum three (3) years of experience working on projectsMinimum two (2) years of experience in defect coordination working on projectsExperience in Telco business functions and processesExperience in Test case creation, execution, and reportingExperience with OpenText ALM Quality Center / OpenText Testing Suite Experience with automated test script creation, execution and maintenanceSelf-motivated individual with expertise in small to medium-sized projects who can take on the Test Lead role, if necessary, with confidence and little guidanceSoft Skills :

A university degree in Administration or Commerce or Engineering or Computer Science or other post-secondary education is acceptable.ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification, is desiredEducation is IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Service) and / or WES (World Education Services) CertifiedMandatory Requirement :
